Graduating Senior Piper Moore, from the Atit lab, was accepted to the Summer 2025 Engage Program. The ENGAGE summer research training program supports undergraduate, master’s, or medical students interested in stem cell and regenerative medicine research. Students are provided opportunities for scientific growth by working with our renowned scientific investigators.

“I was lucky to be accepted into the summer 2025 Engage program and work under the mentorship of Dr. Suneeti Madhavan in the Atit lab. When I started as an undergraduate researcher, I felt as if every experiment was set in stone. But, I soon learned that experimental protocols and pipelines change and, even as an undergraduate, your analysis contributes to how those procedures evolve to produce meaningful research. What started out as a dream of becoming a researcher is now a reality with my work being published in Experimental Dermatology. The paper demonstrates a novel protection mechanism against lipid depletion during skin fibrosis, opening up new avenues for developing effective treatments for patients suffering from fibrosis.”
