Elizabeth Rush Presents at European Conferences, Wins Awards

Bethy Rush, graduate student in Dr. Timothy Mead’s lab, recently attended and presented talks at three international conferences including Lund University Matrix Biology Symposium (Sweden), The Danish Society for Matrix Biology (Denmark, Copenhagen) and the European Elastin Meeting (EEM; Copenhagen, Denmark). She won a Travel Award and an award for Best Oral Presentation at EEM. Her presentations focused on a identifying the molecular mechanisms of a connective tissue disorder, neonatal Marfan syndrome, by characterizing novel in vivo and in vitro preclinical models.
