Reda Riffi, an undergraduate Neurosciences and Chemistry student and Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Xiong Lab at the CWRU School of Medicine, was awarded the 2023 Peter Witt Scholarship for his achievements in childcare support in South Africa. He has also been elected Treasurer of Nourish Educare and Pre-Primary for the year 2023. “His international leadership and network represent an immense contribution to our organization. Thanks to Reda’s contribution, the growth and development of 52 kids was made possible,” principal of Nourish Educare, South Africa. Reda is a Covid-19 warrior who volunteered in hospitals for 2 years in Tunisia and Morocco.
