Manish Sarkar, a PhD candidate in Karen Abbott’s lab, was the recipient of a Unity Award from the Office of Multicultural Affairs at the 35th annual Unity Banquet on April 4th, 2025. This year’s theme was “Gotta Laugh to Keep from Crying’: Kindness as Resilience.”

The Annual Unity Banquet & Scholarship Dinner celebrates the academic accomplishments and pursuits of our students and graduating seniors at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). The evening also serves as a scholarship fundraiser to assist students experiencing financial hardship and to support retention and inclusion efforts.
