Soorya Janakiraman, an undergraduate senior majoring in Systems Biology and Art History, recently received a Fulbright Open Research Award to Germany. She will be conducting research in systems biology with Dr. Olaf Wolkenhauer at the University of Rostock for ten months. During her time in Germany, Soorya will be working on implementing algorithms for quantifying signal flow into existing molecular interaction maps used for studying disease mechanisms.
