Led by grad student Michael Moore, Dr. Martin’s lab has a new publication out: “The predictability and magnitude of life-history divergence to ecological agents of selection: a meta-analysis in livebearing fishes” in the journal Ecology Letters.
Using a meta-analysis of studies on livebearing fish, the paper addresses the important topic of the predictably and magnitude of life history evolution-specifically the trade-off between investing in many small offspring, or a few large offspring-to different kinds of environmental stressors, such as predation, competition, and toxicity.
